Invitations to the lectures

27.11.2013	Mentor of the Year 2013 Recognition for a Mentor of the Year 2013 was organized by Association of Young Researchers Slovenia. Recognition for a Mentor in 2013 received our associate Prof. Zdravko Kutnjak (Jožef Stefan Institute). Among the four finalists two were CO NAMASTE associates prof. Slavko Amon (Faculty of Electrical Engineering) and prof. Slobodan Žumer (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics/ Jožef Stefan Institute). Congratulations to Mentor and finalists! Furthere: News
25.11.2013	Luvitera spin-off company Prof. Janez Trontelj has signed mutual establishment agreement for the new company Luvitera established by Science and Technology Park Institute of Physics in Vilna, some Slovenian companies and CoE NAMASTE.
25.11.2013	CoE was presented in India by Prof. Janez Trontelj At the GITA Annual Platform 2013, which took place on 11 -15. 11 2013 Prof. Janez Trontelj successfully presented the common achievements of CoE and its members from UNI-FE. He also met with Dr Thirumalachari Ramasami, Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Science and Technology.
25.11.2013	Dr. Alenka Rožaj Brvar director of CoE NAMASTE Members of the CoE Council voted and approved the appointment of director of the CoE Dr. Alenka Rožaj Brvar at 4th regular CoE Council meeting held on October, 30th 2013.. Congratulations!
12.-15.11. 2013	KEKO-EQUIPMENT Ltd. at Productronica 2013 München, Germany Keko-equipment Ltd. is at the fair Productronica 2013 and will presented models of sensors, a result of cooperation with the CoE NAMASTE. Further: Productronica 2013 web site
12.-13.11. 2013	8th. Innovation Forum Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and SPIRIT Agency were organized 8th Innovation Forum. The Forum was divided into international and business program. On November, 12th presentation of spart specialization, its challenges and goals were discussed in the field for materials and technology. The CoE NAMASTE director dr. Alenka Rožaj Brvar participated in discussion. RC eNeM Novi materiali d.o.o and Glassworks Hrastnik together with Nanotesla Institute received the recognition for the innovation called Eco-Colored Glass. Congratulations! Further: Programme
12.11.2013	Meeting of the Slovenian and Austrian Metalworkers Prof. Maja Remškar participated in the meeting of the Slovenian and Austrian metal workers, organized by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. Prof. Remškar had an opening lecture at the meeting and presented detector nanoparticles in the afternoon B2B meeting.

17.10.2013	Conference EMC measurements 2013 Institute TC SEMTO has organized 4th Conference on measurement of electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, and sustainable life of electronic assemblies and components. CoE NAMASTE was one of the co-organizers. The conference was held in the Lecture Hall Emona Efekta in Ljubljana. Jožef Perne (Institute TC SEMTO) presented “Virtual EMC Laboratory”, project is running in CoE NAMASTE.
15.10.2013	Smart Specialization and Challenges of Slovenia 2014-2020, Experience and Contribution of Centres of Excellence and Competence Centres Conference was held at Chamber of Commerce in Ljubljana. In the introduction Dr. Jernej Pikalo, Minister for Education, Science and Sport addressed participants. Achievements, potential and challenges of CoE and CC in the context of Smart Specialization Strategy (3S) and Cohesion Policy in the 2014-2020 period were presented by Centres of Excellence and Competence Centres. Center of Excellence NAMASTE presented dr. Alenka Rožaj Brvar, prof. Igor Muševič presented global achievement - 3D microlaser. The conference ended with a panel discussion on the challenges of Slovenian Science and Technology in the period 2014-2020.
25.-27.9. 2013	Conference MIDEM 2013 Kranjska Gora, Slovenia 49th International Conference on Microelectronics, Devices and Materials (MIDEM) co-organized by CoE NAMASTE was held at Kranjska Gora on September 25. – 27th, 2013. The conference contributions were presented on the first and third day grouped into six sessions. On the second conference day the Workshop on Digital Electronic Systems was organised. 23.9.2013	Our co-worker Kostja Makarovič has successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled »The Effect of Processing Conditions on the Phase Composition, Structure and Properties of Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics«. The defence was held at Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School, Ljubljana. Congratulations!
17.9.2013	Innovation Day 2013 Brdo pri Kranju On the Innovation Day National Chamber of Commerce awarded the most innovative companies and innovators in business and public research institutions. A 6th international conference on technology transfer was also held on Innovation Day. In the lobby of the conference room prof. Maja Remškar and Marko Đorić presented detector of nanoparticles.
16.9.2013	Recognition to Chamber of craft and small business of Slovenia (OZS) OZS, Committee on Science and Technology has been awarded by Celje Fair. 12.9.2013	Centre of Excellence NAMASTE at the International Trade Fair (MOS, Celje) Within Committee on Science and Technology and section mechatronical engineers and electronic engineers of the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) Centre of Excellence NAMASTE presents at the fair MOS 2013. On the opening day our common exhibition area visited the Prime Minister of RS mag. Alenka Bratušek, Minister of Economic Development Stanko Stepišnik, Minister for Infrastructure and Spatial planning Samo Omerzel, President of the National Assembly Janko Veber, executive director of Celje Fair Breda Obrez Preskar, President of the OZS Board of Directors and Vice President of the Assembly OZS Branko Meh and the Deputy of General Secretary of OZS Pavel Sedovnik.
22.8.2013	Recognition to prof. Tomaž Kosmač for achievements and contribution to the field of Ceramics In the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) meeting, hold in Limoges (France) from the 23th to the 27th of June, Prof. Tomaž Kosmač (JSI/CO NAMASTE) has been entitled as Fellow members of the mentioned Society. 22.8.2013	Invited APS Viewpoint on generating the Hopf fibration in frustrated liquid crystals Invited by the editors of the journal Physical Review Letters, Miha Ravnik from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics UL and Centre of Excellence NAMASTE, published a paper Topology with Liquid Crystals [Physics 6, 65 (2013)], as a Viewpoint upon the generation of the Hopf fibration in frustrated cholesteric liquid crystals, published in Phys. Cooperation between Iskra Telematika (lskratel), the Department of Electronic Ceramics (K5) from the Jožef Stefan Institute, and a few exceptional individuals gave the company a strong foundation for the existence on the market of hybrid circuits.
